It’s been over 12 years since I first saw the #ServiceNow and started my journey, and it’s been incredible to witness its growth and evolution. Back in the day, accelerators were all the rage, and every partner had at least one. Same goes for best practices – ServiceNow has its own, community members have their own, and partners and clients have their own documents.
Sometimes, discussions about which practices are the “right” ones seem to go in circles. I still remember those “Configuration vs. Customization”. But let’s not forget that these practices are based on the experiences of the last decade. And who knows what new practices will emerge in the years to come.
For those looking to gain the #knowledge and experience of the past decade without having to go through all the trial and error themselves, I recommend reading “ServiceNow Overdrive” by Ashwin Patil. It provides a solid overview of the key concepts of a clean implementation.
But don’t be afraid to step outside of the box and try something new, even if it goes against established best practices. You never know what innovative solutions you might discover!
And by the way, there’s a cute cat in the photo too 😸 #ServiceNowJourney #BestPractices
