Executive Summary

The client engaged Teiva Systems to design and build a ServiceNow Store-ready application that allows organizations to submit specialized service requests directly within ServiceNow and synchronize key updates from the client’s existing platform.

The solution provides a standardized entry point for request intake while keeping operational processing, validation, and area-based workflows within the client’s system.

The project defined the initial scope for an MVP Store application, including configurable request forms, outbound API integration for request creation, and an inbound endpoint for status, notes, attachments, and operational links. Depending on customer needs, the application also supports embedding the client’s external area-selection form for location-based requests.

Business Challenge

Organizations using the client’s platform needed:

  • A single place to submit and monitor operational requests
  • Seamless integration with existing ServiceNow workflows
  • A geospatial component to define operational areas
  • Real-time synchronization with backend systems
  • A certified, easy-to-install solution available in the ServiceNow Store
  • Previously, users had to work across multiple systems, upload files, or manually enter operational details—leading to inefficiencies and slower turnaround times.

Solution & Business Value

Teiva Systems designed and implemented a custom scoped ServiceNow application supporting:

Configurable request submission forms including location and area details
Embedded interactive map for drawing polygons or coordinates
API-based integrations for sending and receiving request updates
Two-way synchronization between ServiceNow and the client’s backend
Custom roles and access controls for secure request handling
Dedicated Service Portal for streamlined end-user interaction
Store-compliant packaging ready for official publication

Business Outcomes:

  • Reduced manual work and duplicated entries
  • Streamlined operational planning and validation
  • Faster user onboarding due to familiar ServiceNow UI
  • Real-time visibility into request status
  • Strong foundation for future enhancements.

Value for End Customers:

  • Unified experience inside ServiceNow
  • Faster request submission and processing
  • Clear visibility into statuses and updates
  • Easy configuration and low onboarding effort
  • Built-in geospatial support for location-sensitive processes

Value for the B2B Client:

  • Expanded access to ServiceNow-based enterprises
  • Standardized integration pathway between systems
  • Store-ready app meeting all technical and security requirements
  • Framework for future offerings involving mapping, planning, and operational data

Use Cases Covered by the Application

Role-based request submission and lifecycle tracking
Location/area definition for operational services
Two-way synchronization with external systems
